VMoveCAD

Quick Links

Windows

VMoveCAD generates log files during each translation. Users can find the following log files after each VMoveCAD run.

  • VMoveCAD_Log.txt (or) VMoveCADBatch_Log.txt (or) CadInfo_Log.txt (depends on the application the user runs)

  • DtkLogFile.txt

The above files are written in a folder with the following format

VMoveCAD-YYYY-MM-DD-HH-MM-SS

VMoveCAD creates a folder in the above format for each instance of VMoveCAD (or) VMoveCADBatch (or) CadInfo application and writes the log files into the folder.

The folder with log files is generally written into a folder represented by VCOLLAB_TEMP_PATH environment variable.

Users can go to this folder by just entering %VCOLLAB_TEMP_PATH% in the windows explorer address bar as shown below.

If the VCOLLAB_TEMP_PATH environment variable is not defined, the user will get an error message image2

In case of an undefined VCOLLAB_TEMP_PATH, the log files are written into a folder represented by the Windows environment variable TEMP. Users can go to this folder by entering %TEMP% in the Windows explorer address bar as shown in the following figure.

In case of errors during the VMoveCAD usage, users can email the log files to VCollab support (support@vcollab.com). The log files are designed to help the VCollab development and support teams understand and resolve the issues.
