The previous tutorial described the
simplest translation scenario in which all the parts and results
are translated into CAX file. However, most of the times, user
wants to filter out information from CAE file and wants to
translate only certain set of parts and results. This tutorial
describes the the controls of VMoveCAE that provide and
VMoveCAE and Load CAE file: Start VMoveCAE and load a
CAE file as described in the previous tutorial. In this
tutorial, we use the d3plot file that is provided in the
VMoveCAE samples directory.

VMoveCAE translates all these checked parts and results into
CAX file. A part or a result can be filtered out by

user can observe that, selecting a result enabled the
“Instance List” window. A result can have values at multiple
instances such as multiple load cases, mode shapes,
iterations etc. The “Instance List” displays the list of
instances for which the result is available. In this case,
all the instances of Displacement are checked. The unneeded
instances can be filtered out by unchecking them.
item selection/check functionality: VMoveCAE provides
tools to check/select multiple items in an easier way using
the selection toolbar. The selection toolbar consists of the
controls/tools are shown as annotated items in the following
diagram. The following steps explain how to use these tools
and controls for selecting, deselecting, checking or
unchecking multiple items.
Select/deselect all parts: To select all parts, set the
tree choice to “Geometry” and item choice to “All” and click
on “Select Multiple” tool.
