Pick

This important command helps user to disassemble parts and allows to apply transforms to individual part.

This makes user to reassemble parts in a different way and improves user's knowledge on assemble of parts.

How to pick  a part?

Click with the right most button in the Viewer Window, to pop up the Viewer Context menu and then follow the instructions as below.

  • Select 'Pick' option in the viewer Context menu,

  • Select 'Pick' option.

  • Click on a part.
  • Apply transformations like rotation, translation and zoom in or out.
  • Notice that transformations are applied to the picked part only
  • View  and observe the change.

 

How to drop the part picked?

Click with the right most button in the Viewer Window, to pop up the Viewer Context menu and then follow the instructions as below.

  • Select 'Pick & Move' option in the right click Context menu as below
  • Right click on the part and drag the mouse to move.
  • Release the mouse wherever you want to drop or place it.

This command helps user to pick a part , move to new position and drop the part. Using this pick and move, user can try to assemble parts in a different construction.

To enable this mode, select a part and click 'Pick' option in the context menu.

Use motion models to move, rotate and zoom the model.

Picking  and moving a part

Click with the right most button in the Viewer Window, to pop up the Viewer Context menu and then follow the instructions as below.

  • Select a part to be picked by double clicking on the part.
  • Click 'Pick' in context menu.

  • Move the part using motion model functions which is applied to the part alone now.
  • Click 'Pick' again to disable pick mode.
